Following the release of the series “Knokke Off” which recounts the summer of young people in this seaside resort in the north of the country, the Dutch media De Telegraaf went there with a television team to see the reality on the ground. They then questioned two “chic ladies” from Knokke in their car about what they think of Belgium’s most expensive municipality.
“We like almost everything”, says one of the passengers before detailing certain aspects that annoy her: “What really annoys me is the non-respect of certain things, like people who are not well dressed… ”, before being interrupted by her neighbor who gives a concrete example: “The shorts!”
Knokke-Heist will deploy additional police officers during the heat wave weekend: “We will carry out targeted and highly visible checks”
The latter continues by speaking of certain tourists “from France with their fridgebox on the beach” who do not go to the restaurants of the resort, while “there are many opportunities to do this such as good caterers, etc. .” “I mean that’s not the beach they have to go for. Here, there is a fairly high level”, she justifies. “Houses are expensive, apartments are expensive… Everything is expensive”.
