Shops along the street caused a serious fire. The accident resulted in 2 deaths and 2 serious injuries.

According to the CCP’s official media, at 10:13 on July 29, shops along the Golden Sunshine Community in Hongqi Street, Anping County, Hengshui City, Hebei Province exploded, and the flames of the explosion rushed to the street in an instant. The fire was extinguished at 11:20. Preliminary investigation revealed that deflagration occurred due to the bursting of natural gas pipelines during the secondary pipeline network reconstruction of the water company. At present, the accident has caused 2 deaths and 2 serious injuries.

According to reports, the four casualties were all residents living nearby. The explosion caused the windows of the surrounding residents to be broken and caused widespread power outages.

However, local netizens revealed that the number of casualties far exceeded the official report, and several buildings were blown up:

A video posted by a netizen showed that at the moment of the explosion, a large group of flames shot out from a nearby shop towards the road, and the flames strung nearly 100 meters straight to the shop across the road. The fire burned for more than an hour before it was extinguished. Many shops along the street were bombed to the point that only their frames remained, and dozens of shops in the surrounding area were turned into ruins.

The video shows that natural gas exploded in Anping County, Hengshui City, Hebei Province, shops along the street were blown into ruins, and many cars parked on the street were burned.
