Kottayam> Media to spread communalism and insult CPI-M and Left
One channel’s effort was caught by social media. Media One started their communal agenda in Puthupally by portraying the group who came to sing for LDF candidate Jake C Thomas in Puthupally on Kalasakhot day on Sunday as singing gang members with Kavithun on their heads.
At the same time, social media immediately proved that the videos were fake. While Media One circulated the video with saffron headlines as ‘Activists singing for Jake and polling for votes’, 24 News Channel released the videos of the same people singing with red headlines.
Media One, which first reported that ‘Activists polled for Jake by singing to the tune of RSS Rana Geeta’, later changed the Rana Geeta to RSS Gana Geeta. But when protests against their communal campaign continued, Facebook changed the headline to read, ‘Activists sing for Jake and ask for votes’.
Still, Media One continued its pro-UDF media agenda by making a fake saffron flag instead of the red flag. The protest against the channel is still going on.
