Extreme cold continues in Kuwait; In deserts below zero degrees Celsius

Cold weather continues in Kuwait This is the coldest year in recent years. Temperatures in many parts of the country were recorded below zero degrees Celsius. Earlier, the Meteorological Department had forecast a severe winter. The cold weather of the last two days confirms this. The coldest places are the deserts. Atmospheric temperatures dropped to minus in many places. In cities and residential areas, the average temperature is between six and 10 degrees Celsius during the day and between two and five degrees Celsius at night. Adil al-Marzouk, a meteorologist, predicted that the cold spell would begin to subside on Monday. He said the strong winds from Siberia in northern Russia had intensified the region, including Kuwait, and that those leaving should wear cold-resistant clothing.

Expatriates in Kuwait have long said that there has been no severe cold in recent times. Traders said the extreme cold also affected the fish market. The number of customers in the shark fish market has dropped by less than half in the last few days. Lack of demand has also led to a sharp fall in fish prices.
