Antonio Jovinazi revealed a playful email with Kimi Raikkonen in the New Year.
Kimi Raikkonen has revealed that he is a friend of former Alfa Romeo F1 teammates Antonio Jobinati, who exchanged emails after the 2021 season. Unlike Jobinati, who turned to Formula E, Raikkonen was currently retired from the race and had downtime.
Antonio Jobinati admits that Kimi Raikkonen isn’t good at replying to messages at the best time, but said the text is playful.
“I sent him an email on New Year’s Eve hoping for a good New Year,” said Antonio Jobinati.
“You haven’t had a good relationship with your phone. You were on vacation in the Maldives and left it alone.”
“But a few days later he contacted me and told us some jokes, for example he told me he wanted to get a nice tan.”
“He described it as an Italian-style tan and said he was thinking about growing his hair to make it even more Italian-style!”
Antonio Jobinati is currently a reserve driver for Ferrari F1 and will replace Alfa Romeo and Haas as needed. At the same time, he is participating in Formula E.
