Fake cops steal Christmas gifts from a house

After a violent burglary, three men who posed as police officers have been sentenced to a total of 35 years in prison in the UK, according to Mirror News.

On November 29, 2021, a woman in her 30s was leaving her flat in Putney, south London, when three individuals approached her. The trio wore police caps and had batons in their possession.

The victim was grabbed by the neck in front of her three children and forced to return inside her home. She was trampled, beaten and tied up.

The thieves then stole money, Christmas gifts and the family’s puppy.

They were charged with burglary following searches, which uncovered evidence.

Almost a year later, on November 9, the three men were found guilty. Michael Cloherty, 58, was sentenced to 13 years in prison, Simon Ludlow, 50, received 12 years and Michael Cook, 54, received a 10-year sentence, totaling 35 years in prison for the trio.

The stolen puppy remains untraceable to this day: the search continues to find him.
