Officials of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (Fanb) found 160 electric detonators hidden in the bumper of a car that was en route to Bolívar state.
The Operational Strategic Commander, Domingo Hernández Lárez, reported the arrest of the subject who was carrying said war material and offered details of the operation.
Through social networks, Hernández Lárez explained that military personnel assigned to the Maracaibo-Zulia Zone Command, at the Punta de Piedras Citizen Service Point (PAC), carried out the search of the vehicle and found the explosive material.
It was also revealed that the man was on his way to the Bolívar area.
The operation is part of the fight against drug trafficking and illegal mining, according to the official on Twitter.
