A terrible tragedy occurred this Monday evening around 6:10 p.m. at rue Belle-vue in La Louvière where a man was fatally stabbed. The Mons prosecutor’s office revealed this morning that several dozen stab wounds were stabbed to the victim, who died on the spot.
Arrested on the spot by the police, the attacker is currently being heard by the federal judicial police. The man, a Louviérois born in 1990, is known to the judicial services and the police for driving offences. The victim is also a Louviérois, born in 1971.
As of this writing, the motive for the murder has not yet been determined. The Mons public prosecutor’s office, an investigating judge as well as the federal judicial police and the federal police laboratory descended on the scene. The autopsy will take place on Tuesday afternoon.
