Palwal: A special POCSO court awarded death sentence to a father who tortured his minor daughter for three years in Haryana. 15,000 should also be collected as fine. The court also directed the District Legal Services Authority to hand over Rs 10 lakh as compensation to the girl. Special Pocso Court Judge Prashant Rana pronounced the sentence.
The case is that the father tortured the girl whose mother died for three years. After getting pregnant, the girl told her grandmother about the torture. In October 2020, the girl filed a complaint against her father at the women’s police station. The girl was 15 years old at that time.
Later, at the age of 16, the girl gave birth to a child. The test revealed that the baby’s DNA was similar to that of the accused. The baby is currently being adopted by an NGO.
