A burnt-out Ferrari sports car body has been sold for £1.5m at auction.

This car caught fire during a race in the 1960s, and the damaged bodywork has so far been preserved in the same condition following the fire, as well as the Ferrari factory body panel, rear axle angles, gearbox and its 3.0-liter four-cylinder 119 Lampredi engine.

According to a report British Telegraph websitethe new owner plans to restore the glory of this car, so that it can participate in the race once more.

According to the report, the cost of restoring the car may reach at least one million dollars, “but making money is not the main reason why someone wants to buy a car like this.”
