Florida Mayor: We do not agree with the houses that are being built

Florida Mayor, Jorge Roa, questioned this Thursday the quality of emergency housing who are coming to that commune of Biobío, one of the ones that was affected by the mega forest fires that have been plaguing the center-south of the country for weeks.

“While it is true that there are communes where emergency housing is being installed, in the case of Florida I want to state it loud and clear: we disagree with the type of emergency housing being built“, accused the communal chief.

According to Roa, the people of the commune “are having a hard time and what he needs most is dignity to be able to get through this coming winterwhich is not going to be good at all, surely”.

“We want our people to live in at least 25 square meters, an X amount of time, in such a way that later the final home arrives“, closed the mayor.

Questions to houses have also been registered in other affected communes, for which reason the mayors asked for greater control of the authorities in the constructions.
