“Florida Weather Update: Potential for Flooding and Thunderstorms Until Saturday”

2023-05-31 11:53:53

MIAMI.- Throughout the week our weather pattern will be controlled by a zone of low pressure in the middle and high levels of the atmosphere that is located over the Gulf of Mexico, which is being monitored by the National Hurricane Center that attributes a 20% chance of cyclonic formation in 7 days.

Regardless of whether a cyclone forms or not, our forecast will be the same: rain and storms for the next few days at least until Saturday.

For this reason, we will be monitoring the potential for flooding, with cumulative amounts that between now and Saturday could reach 6 inches in sectors of Miami-Dade and Broward.

This particular Wednesday, isolated activity in the morning with heavy cloud cover, then thunderstorms in the afternoon at least until early evening. High today in Miami around 87F.

Towards the weekend we will still have some rain in the forecast, but it would be of a more isolated nature, especially for Sunday.
