Michelle Tocchini, a single mother of two, and her friend Tanya McElligott, both 38, wanted to prove it was possible to fly to Ibiza and back for less than a night out in London .
The two mothers dropped their children off at school on Tuesday October 17 and then took a Ryanair flight in the afternoon. At 7 p.m., they landed on the island of Ibiza to celebrate Michelle’s birthday. The two thirty-somethings partied until 5 a.m.!
After celebrating Michelle’s birthday, the two women returned to the hotel, where they “sunbathed” by the pool before catching their flight home at 5 p.m.
It was around 11:30 p.m. that Michelle and Tanya returned home on Wednesday, October 18. They woke up the next morning, ready to resume their daily lives as mothers. In total, Michelle and Tanya’s trip will have cost them each 81 pounds (92 euros), including 48 pounds (55 euros) for a return flight and 33 pounds (37 euros) for the hotel with breakfast.

“It was like going to London for a big night out, but we would have spent more money there without even leaving the UK,” Michelle explains in the columns of the Sun. “It was amazing and I recommend parents to try it. We are already planning our next trip to Amsterdam,” says Michelle.
For childcare on Tuesday evening, the two friends were able to count on their loved ones. They both say they want to do this as often as possible.
