The Agenais festival will liven up the whole town, but Place Foch is particularly suitable for having a great time. Flagship stage of the “off” festival, it will be transformed into a gourmet village on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 May. No less than four food trucks, with a wide choice of recipes: Caribbean, Thai, creperie and local cuisine. Of course, there will also be musical groups on site.

The Cant’Agen choirs, Sing’in Agen (from Dinslaken), the Auvignon Men’s Choir, the Occitan Choir… Choirs, as well as the New Orleans spirit with the Mississippi Jazz Band.

The latter had already performed at the Tannery. “We have no problem with playing in the street, the roots of the music we play are totally from there, comments José Haro, one of the musicians. It’s popular and festive music! Our repertoire will go from the 20s to the 40s, and we will have two singers, Cécile Vidal and Sophie Pacific”. In the evening, from 6:30 p.m., the square will host Revuelta, all in salsa. On Sunday, after the closing parade, the Bringuebal group will keep you moving all night long.

To keep memories of all these festivities, the Fraterciné team will film and interview the artists and volunteers.

The set will be available on Youtube and Facebook. “Our company has been involved in the Folies Vocales since their creation”, explains Luc Juin, of Fraterciné Productions. Each year, in collaboration with the communication officer, we draw up a schedule. The first five days, we follow the artists, we carry out reports in EHPAD, in the hospital and in schools, as well as some theaters. Then, all these subjects are edited, and we will broadcast them on Saturday and Sunday during the sets where we receive the artists!”.
