Good morning. It is true that driving an electric vehicle allows you to save a lot of energy, but there are limits to exaggeration. Either your salesperson is a shameless liar, or he really sucks at math.

First of all, it is important to know that the Ford F-150 Lightning comes with a battery with a maximum capacity of 131 kWh. Assuming that we keep the battery between 10 and 80% at all times, we are talking regarding 91.7 kilowatt hours. According to Hydro-Québec, the price per kilowatt hour at the domestic rate is $0.11543. A “full” therefore costs $10.58 taxes included. If we do the full recharge, we are talking regarding $15.12 taxes included.
