Former Austrian Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl apparently wants to increase her love for Russia. The politician, for whose wedding President Putin once arrived, is said to be toying with a move to Russia. This is reported by the Russian news agency Tass.
In a speech at the International Economic Forum in St. Petersburg, in which she praised the Kremlin boss, she said that she still pursues the idea of moving to Russia. When asked if she would also like to have a Russian passport, she reportedly said it was not up to her to decide.
“To become Russian, I need to learn Russian well,” she said. You first have to read “War and Peace” to the end, absorb Dostoyevsky and at least two works by Chekhov, then you can talk about it. But Kneissl said she was very open. She currently feels very French and European. She doesn’t miss her home country of Austria.
