Former Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi to visit Russia in mid-February

Wang Yi, head of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and former foreign minister, will visit Russia, Hungary, Italy and France in mid-February. His foreign trip will take place from 14 to 22 February. This was reported in press service Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs does not give the date of his visit to Russia. The press release said that Wang Yi will speak at the 59th Munich Security Conference, which will be held from February 17 to 19 in Germany.

In January, Vedomosti, citing sources, reported that Wang Yi would arrive in Russia on the 20th of February. According to the newspaper, he may be received by Russian President Vladimir Putin. They are expected to discuss Chinese leader Xi Jinping’s visit to Moscow.
