Vienna (OTS) – The current calculation by the Austrian Institute for Economic Research (WIFO) confirms that of all federal states, red Vienna is hardest hit by inflation. “Not only the harmful EU sanctions are to blame for this, but primarily the heartless inflationary policy of the Ludwig SPÖ. Nepp describes the artificial indignation of the Viennese SPÖ at the failure of the black-green federal government in the rental price brake as absolute hypocrisy. “The Viennese SPÖ could suspend rent increases in municipal buildings just as their own mayor Babler does in Traiskirchen. Unfortunately, Ludwig and Co. are only dismissing their own failure and driving even more Viennese into poverty,” says Nepp, who is demanding a freeze on rents in Vienna and a reduction in electricity, gas and district heating prices from Wien Energie.

“With the heartless mayor Ludwig, Vienna is becoming more and more of an inflationary plague. While the citizens are brutally cashed in, Ludwig approves the salary increase of 14,000 euros. I call on the mayor to follow my example and also donate the statutory increase in salary,” emphasizes the Viennese FPÖ chairman.
