France Télévisions takes legal action against LFI

« Nathalie Saint-Cricq vote. And you ? » The France Télévisions editorialist found herself at the heart of a registration campaign on the electoral lists of La France insoumise (LFI). But the staging of the latter for the purposes of electoral propaganda for the movement founded by Jean-Luc Mélenchon did not pass since it led to… a referral to justice by the public audiovisual group this Thursday, February 29.

« Political attacks against journalists who freely exercise their profession are unacceptable. We cannot let this go: France Télé takes legal action », indicated on X Delphine Ernotte Cunci, boss of the group. Questioned by Agence France-Presse, the national coordinator of LFI Manuel Bompard assured that “ there are absolutely no personal attacks or accusations in this campaign ».

« It is only a matter of raising awareness among the French about registering on the electoral lists. Ms. Ernotte would do better to use the means of the public service to carry out an information campaign on this subject rather than attacking rebellious France “, counter-attacked the Insoumis political leader.

This Insoumis campaign, supported by a photo of Nathalie Saint-Cricq but also of other personalities, such as Christophe Barbier or Vincent Bolloré, has provoked reactions in the presidential majority and on the right.

« These messages from rebellious France against journalists are unbearable. Mr. Mélenchon and his friends hate freedom. They are a danger for France! », tweeted Éric Ciotti, president of LR, citing the posters presenting Nathalie Saint-Cricq and Pascal Praud, star presenter of the CNews channel.

Éric Ciotti was himself then targeted by LFI so that there was “ not jealous “, according to a tweet from the movement: “ Eric Ciotti votes. And you ? » « The rich », « the racists ” and even ” golfers » were also pinned, for this campaign to encourage people to register on the electoral lists.
