As U.S.-China relations gradually enter into confrontation, and the Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, Mark Alexander Milley, warned that the Chinese People’s Liberation Army will officially have the capability to attack Taiwan in 2027, various countries have paid close attention to the situation in the Taiwan Strait. The French intelligence website “Intelligence Online” disclosed that Beijing is using its intelligence network to spy on the reactions of various countries to the PLA’s attack on Taiwan, especially whether the United States will send troops to defend Taiwan and whether its allies will support Washington.

French media believe that Chinese Minister of State Security Chen Wenqing, at the request of President Xi Jinping, has formulated a series of strategies against Taiwan, and launched overseas intelligence work to assess the reactions of governments to Beijing’s military control of Taiwan. An analysis of the mid-term impact report of Russia’s sanctions against China due to the Russian-Ukrainian war concluded that the international community could not impose sanctions on China for a long time. The report also prompted Beijing to increase the willingness of the People’s Liberation Army to attack Taiwan.

In addition to preparing for the PLA’s attack on Taiwan, Beijing has also increased its voice on the use of force to resolve the Taiwan issue through the Propaganda Department, allowing the Chinese media to discuss more and more sand table deductions and analysis of the attack on Taiwan, thus making it difficult for the people to discuss the Taiwan issue. To shape the atmosphere of attacking Taiwan, and to test the financial market’s reaction through frequent military exercises triggered by the visit of US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to Taiwan, the resolution of the Taiwan issue has finally become a major victory for Xi Jinping’s third term.

French media quoted intelligence information, saying that Moscow is persuading Xi Jinping to accept Russia’s help on the issue of attacking Taiwan, and “Russian Hu Xijin” Igor Korotchenko (Igor Korotchenko) expressed in Russian state media a few days ago about Taiwan’s transfer of drones to Ukraine. The argument that the government should help China invade Taiwan is consistent, but French media pointed out that although some Chinese scholars accepted the proposal and the Russian army sent three warships to the sea off Hualien in early July to “show sincerity”, Beijing temporarily rejected the agreement.

French media pointed out that Beijing is more inclined to resolve the Taiwan issue and demonstrate China’s strength by means of a quick solution and no foreign aid. In particular, Xi Jinping does not want to make all circles think that Russia can exchange war support for Ukraine with China on the Taiwan issue.
