The defender Oscar Opazo informed Colo Colo that he will not continue at the club and will join Racing de Avellaneda for the 2023 season, the Argentine press assured this Wednesday.
According to TyC SportsOpazo communicated his decision to the leadership of Blanco y Negro this day, one day earlier than planned, that he will not renew and will accept the offer of the Avellaneda group.
Opazo, 32 years old, will travel in the next few days to Buenos Aires to submit to the rigorous exams and join the “Academy”, which has already begun its preseason.
Always faithful to the trans-Andean environment, Opazo’s contract will be for two seasons, with the option of extending the bond for one more year.
The competition for the position will be complex, since Racing has two right-backs, Iván Pillud and Facundo Mura, as well as central defender Juan José Cáceres, who played on the wing when necessary.
