Gasoline prices in Quebec: increase of 10 cents per liter in certain places

The cost of gasoline has not finished raising eyebrows among motorists, while the price per liter has made a drastic jump of nearly 10 cents, in certain service stations in Quebec and the surrounding area.

At the time of writing, it is at the Irving on boulevard Duplessis, at the intersection of boulevard Hamel, that gas is the most expensive, at 214.9 cents per litre. Most gas stations in the Quebec City area and surrounding areas quote a pump price of 205.9 cents.

With this increase, the costs in the Capitale-Nationale are approaching those of Montreal, where a large majority of service stations display gasoline at 215.9 cents.

According to CAA-Quebec, the average price at the pump for the Capitale-Nationale is 205.9 cents per liter and the realistic price is 209.7 cents.
