General Motors is studying the possibility of launching a small electric van

General Motors is seeing an opportunity to enter another segment and has created some preliminary designs for a two-door compact pickup.

This proposed pickup would be even smaller than the Maverick and Hyundai Santa Cruz, which come with just four doors.

But this is where the problem could come, since the truck would also be electric, with a bed that would measure between 4.0 and 4.5 feet long, and we already know the problems that General Motors has with the announced electric vehicles, which They cannot be delivered yet due to “electrical” problems.

This electrical problems and deliveries is something that GM tries to silence, but the media does not, which is why it is known that several electric models of Cadillac, GMC and Buick cannot be delivered due to electrical problems, something that affects the Bolt EV, the worst electric car on the market.

The price of the small electric truck would be around under $30,000, and it would certainly be a Chevrolet or GMC model.

General Motors is currently investigating what customers might want in a small truck. Affordability is the focus of the project, and it is believed that the two-door body style might be too small for the four-door dominated US market.

For now, GM did not mention a production schedule, nor when the compact electric truck will arrive and with what brand of the conglomerate.
