The two protagonists were found dead on the sidewalk between two apartment buildings. They would have succumbed instantly to gunshot wounds according to the first findings of the police.

A firearm was found near the body of the 50-year-old man. According to the first elements of the local police investigation, the latter would have shot the other victim aged 42 before turning the firearm against him.

An investigation has been opened

“I had just gone to bed and was going to sleep when I suddenly heard three gunshots. When I looked out the window, the first passers-by were already rushing towards the entrance of a building. For that to happen here is quite unusual. We feel so good and safe here, and then something like this happens in front of her door, ”testified a resident of the neighborhood for Bild.

After the events, the crisis intervention team (KIT) of the German Red Cross took care of the relatives of the two victims and the eyewitnesses of the scene. 28 police vehicles went to the scene of the tragedy and the investigation was entrusted to the criminal brigade.

As a reminder, a shooting had already broken out in a worship center of Jeovah’s Witnesses in Hamburg on Thursday evening, March 9. The latter had killed eight people and injured many, according to German media.
