On the sidelines of a country festival in the Hausruckviertel, there was a sexual assault on a young person in May 2023, for which the boy (16), who was around the same age, had to answer in court in Wels yesterday. According to the prosecution, the native of Upper Austria committed coercion and an act equivalent to sexual intercourse against the victim’s will. The 16-year-old confessed and tried to apologize to the victim. The defendant accepted a partial compensation payment of 1,000 euros. The Youth Aldermen’s Senate considered a conditional prison sentence of six months to be appropriate for the offense and guilt, and the verdict is final.
