The peloton was living a calm stage and was 69 kilometers from the finish, this Wednesday, when a fall occurred in front of it, in a descent. Alessandro Covi (Team UAE Emirates) was the first to slip on the wet ground. Taking with him the pink jersey Geraint Thomas, Primoz Roglic but also Pavel Sivakov and Tao Geoghegan Hart.
If Thomas and Roglic left instantly, there was damage for the winner of the Giro 2020.
