Glenair AquaMouse Waterproof Connectors Now Available at Powell Electronics

Originally developed for the oil and gas industry, these hermetic connectors capable of withstanding high pressures are also suitable for the most demanding geophysical and subsea applications.

The American Powell Electronics, which wears the double hat of manufacturer and distributor of high-reliability connectors intended for the defence, aeronautics and industrial sectors, is completing its distribution agreement with Glenair by now offering in stock the AquaMouse 802 series connectors of the last.

Originally developed for pipeline inspection equipment, these hermetically sealed connectors are available in ten sizes ranging from one to 130 contacts and feature Viton O-rings to withstand exposure to harsh chemicals and harsh environments. at high temperature. Able to withstand high pressures (they are rated for 3500 PSI when mated), these compact connectors are also suitable for the most demanding geophysical and underwater applications.

Filled with an epoxy compound, these connectors feature Mighty Mouse high-density crimp inserts, 316 stainless steel or marine bronze shells, and a piston O-ring for hydrostatic sealing. Gold plated contacts allow size 12 to size 30 wire to be crimped with standard military spec crimp tools.
AquaMouse connectors are also 100% tested to meet the helium leak test at 1 x 10-7 cc/sec.

For a little over two years, Powell Electronics has greatly strengthened in Europe with the signing of several franchise agreements, in particular with Glenair, Harwin, Amphenol Aerospace, Quell, AB Connectors, Lemo, Conesys and Positronic. It also opened a new European center in Dublin.
