It was Tire’s voice actor Ben Prendergast who broke the news. At PAX 2023, when the voice actors and others faced fans, when talking about the role, Ben said at the end:
And I’ll say this, it isn’t the last you’ve seen of Tyr.
I will say this, this won’t be the last time you guys see Tyr.
As soon as this statement came out, all the fans in the audience were stunned, and many people quickly began to speculate whether a sequel would be launched. Ben later made it clearer that he “knew very little” about the next God of War game, and that he was bound by a non-disclosure clause after all.
But fans should not be too happy too early, because at this event, before Ben said the above sentence, the host’s previous unnamed question was to ask the guests what they think of the future development of the “God of War” IP, so If Ben refers to this aspect, it means that maybe he will star in other types of works instead of games.
