88th edition of the Masters
Like every year, this legendary tournament takes place on the Augusta National course, created in 1934. A course which is renowned for its particularly difficult greens to understand.
Last year, two years after his success at the US Open, Spaniard Jon Rahm reversed the situation on the last day to win the first Augusta Masters of his career last year.
He beat Phil Mickelson and Brooks Koepka by four shots to become the 4th Spanish player to wear the legendary green jacket after Severiano Ballesteros (1980, 1983), José Maria Olazabal (1994, 1999) and Sergio Garcia (2017).
Jon Rahm will attempt to become the first player to achieve the double since Tiger Woods, more than 20 years ago (2001, 2002).

The first round of the Augusta Masters, delayed and disrupted by bad weather, saw the enormous Bryson DeChambeau (65, -7) and Scottie Scheffler (66) take the lead and already have some gaps, while managing to withstand the strong gusts Wind.
Highly anticipated, the Habs prodigy Matthieu Pavon completed 14 solid first holes (-2), before being stopped by night.
“I knew it would be a difficult day with this wind. So you have to be very patient here. Winning at Winged Foot (US Open 2020) helped me understand how to win big tournaments.
But you need a lot of patience, especially here, where it feels like it’s playable, but it’s just tricky.
I learned to be a little smarter and not try to reach all the flags, but to place them in the right position. » DeChambeau said.
