CHAIRMAN (Ketum) of the Golkar Party, Airlangga Hartarto, revealed that his party welcomed the planned meeting of Ketum Gerindra Prabowo Subianto with Ketum PDIP Megawati Soekarnoputri. According to him, this is a form of friendship during Eid.
“It’s good, friendship is always good, especially in the holy month of Ramadhan,” he said, Thursday (11/4).
Airlangga said the friendship between the two political elites could reduce post-election political tensions. Golkar also has no problem with other parties wanting to join the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka coalition, including PDIP. The reason is, Prabowo has also stated that he will be president for all parties.
“In principle, the Forward Indonesia Coalition is open,” he said.
Previously, PDIP also confirmed that Megawati had no personal problems with Prabowo. So, the planned second meeting with Megawati will take place after this election.
“Ms. Megawati or PDI Perjuangan have never had any personal problems with Gerindra and especially Ms. Mega and Pak Prabowo. The personal relationship between the two of them throughout history that I know of has been very good until today,” said PDIP DPP Chairman Ahmad Basarah yesterday, Wednesday ( 10/4).(Z-6)
