Thiruvananthapuram | Priya Varghese reacts against Governor Arif Mohammad Khan’s action of canceling her appointment as Associate Professor of Kannur University. The Governor’s move to stay the appointment is the result of political drama. In a Facebook post, Priya said that she is being hunted because she is the wife of CPM leader KK Ragesh.
The political drama began when his name was shortlisted for university appointments for the post of associate professor. As a person, he is a victim of denial of justice. A Congress member of the Senate is filing a complaint against me to the VC. Congressmen and KSU besiege VC’s house. Surviving all these political dramas and media threats over the phone before the interview, I appeared for the interview test. Yesterday’s decision was the result of a political drama. This political drama starts when my name is shortlisted in the university. A congressman and a member of the senate filed a case against me. The UGC Notification of 2018 mentions this as follows :(Page No. 5, Section 3.9)The period of time taken by candidates to acquire M.Phil. and/or Ph.D. Degree shall not be considered as teaching/research experience to be claimed for appointment to the teaching positions. Further the period of active service spent on pursuing Research Degree simultaneously with teaching assignment without taking any kind of leave shall be counted as teaching experience for the purpose of direct recruitment/ promotion.’
The interest of those who read only the first part of this reference came to the channel and deliberately did not read the next sentence.
