A ACG participated in FCE Pharma – International Exhibition of Technology for the Pharmaceutical Industry. This is the first participation in FCE Pharma with all divisions: capsules, machines, Films & Foils and Vantage Nutrition.

The company brought to the event new technologies in capsules, such as the ACGcapsTM Brandshield, patented technology for custom printing on capsules, including logos, graphics and texts, protecting against counterfeiting. Another novelty is the naturally colored capsules, without the use of artificial dyes, in a wide variety of colors. The ACGcapsTM NTone technology is used in different markets around the world, also having Kosher and Halal certification, in addition to being vegan, since they do not have ingredients of animal origin.

“Participating in an event like this gives us the opportunity to showcase our products and technologies that we constantly launch. In addition, we can have contact with a large number of people and customers in the pharmaceutical area, generating new business”, says Raphael Sideris, general manager of sales & marketing for Brazil and Latin America at ACG.

“People want a complete and quality experience in different aspects of their daily lives, including the moment they take a medication. Our technology makes it possible, for example, to make capsules in shades of pink for vitamin supplements for pregnant women or in a shade of yellow for athletes”, explains Sideris.

ACG also brought news from the Vantage Nutrition division, the ACG Group company responsible for nutraceutical products. The launch of the division is the capsules with Sidebysides technology, which combine wet and dry ingredients side by side, together, but separately. This is possible due to the use of a separating membrane, made from bovine gelatin, fish or vegetarian materials. In this way, it is possible to create capsules with different combinations, with powders or beadlets and liquid ingredients, separated, but present in the same capsule. This makes it possible to bring in the same product ingredients that are incompatible, such as probiotics, vitamins and krill oil, which can be combined since there is no contact inside the 3-in-1 capsules. In 2022, Vantage acquired AquaCap, from Nestlé Health Science and recently announced the acquisition of BioCap and ComboCap Inc, becoming the only company to produce 3-in-1 capsules.

A ACG Engineering, which produces pharmaceutical equipment for the industry, also presented its products at the fair. Quest TM FB machines have a system that can be used for drying, single pot granulation and Wurster coating. In addition, the company introduced capsule filling equipment, such as the AF 90T machine, which can fill a variety of combinations in a capsule, such as powders, lozenges, tablets, micro-tablets, softgels and a capsule within a capsule.

With over 60 years of experience in the pharmaceutical market, ACG Engineering serves as an end-to-end supplier. The equipment is designed in Europe and manufactured in India, but now Brazil has an exclusive sales team for this unit (which was previously done through a local representative). The objective of this change is to offer a personalized local service, covering all the needs of the clients and making customizations, when necessary. The division has already installed over 20,000 machines for customers around the world.

In addition, Raphael Sideris took over the ACG Engineering it’s at Vantage Nutrition. He will retain the position of general manager of sales and marketing for Brazil and Latin America at ACG and will continue to be responsible for the company’s capsules division. The purpose of the change is to promote integration between the areas by offering combined offers, which are deeply linked in their operations.

This month, ACG do Brasil won second place in the Sindusfarma Quality Award, in the “National Manufacturer of Raw Materials” category. The award is a recognition granted by the Union of the Pharmaceutical Products Industry in the State of São Paulo and aims to highlight and reward companies in the pharmaceutical sector that stood out in various categories, such as quality, innovation, social responsibility, sustainability, among others. “This is a milestone in the trajectory that ACG do Brasil is building within the group. It is a highly respected award in the Brazilian pharmaceutical market, an important indicator of excellence and recognition. This award fills us with pride, being the result of the work carried out. It shows that we are on the right track”, says Sideris.

O ACG Group annually produces 120 billion capsules and operates in 138 countries on six continents. Present in Brazil for 20 years, it has two factories in the country. “We have great expectations for the national market, since we are increasingly improving our services and investing in technologies to serve our customers from end to end, from the development of formulas to each of the manufacturing stages”, concludes Sideris.
