WEST HARTFORD — Shots fired late Halloween night hit an unoccupied parked vehicle and an occupied building, according to local police.

Officers responded to Elmhurst Circle around 11 p.m. Tuesday following a person heard a series of pops nearby, Capt. Daniel Moffo, a spokesperson for the West Hartford Police Department, said in a news release Wednesday followingnoon. Investigators spoke with several people in the area, some of whom reported the sounds were consistent with gunfire, Moffo said.

Two bullet holes were located at the scene, according to Moffo: One in the vehicle and one in the building. No injuries have been reported, Moffo said. He said the incident appears to be isolated and there is no known threat to the public at this time.
