Shilpa from Chowvoorpadi, Guruvayoor, and Devanand, from Kannur, entered the Shinkari Melam. The fair was a wedding gift given by the Ponnan Shinkari Melam team. The Shingari Mela took place after the thaliketta at the Guruvayur Sri Krishna Temple.

Shilpa is the daughter of Paliath Sreekumar and Rashmi from Kandanassery Chowvalurpadi. Over the past eight years, through an organization called Dala, he has mastered Pandi Mela, Panchari Mela and Shinkari Mela under Shaiju Kannur, Rajeev Palakkad and Sadanam Rajesh. In various venues and celebrations in the UAE, Chendail’s stunning sculpture won applause. Sreekumar and his family have been in the UAE for the past thirty-five years. Shilpa has completed her graduation in mechanical engineering and is working in facility management department at New York University. The groom is Devanand from Kannur. Working as an engineer.
