Hayley Williams and Power Snatch Release Surprise EP2

Hayley Williams and producer Daniel James have expanded their collaborative side project, releasing a four-track collection titled EP2 on Bandcamp and the independent platform [untitled] exactly six months after their debut project.

Building on Indie Roots and Collaborative Momentum

The swift arrival of EP2 follows the February release of EP1, a three-song introduction that established Power Snatch as a distinct creative outlet operating outside the stadium-sized boundaries of Paramore. Daniel James, who co-wrote and produced a significant portion of that acclaimed solo album, brings the same meticulous atmospheric production to Power Snatch’s growing catalog.

Beyond their initial releases, the duo dropped a standalone single titled “ASSIGNMENT,” contributed a cover of This Is Lorelei’s “Perfect Hand,” and teamed up with London-based singer-songwriter Tiberius b for a series of interconnected tracks. To promote the arrival of EP2, the project paired its lead track, “Machete,” with a surreal visual clip culled from the classic 1973 animated science fiction film Fantastic Planet.

Navigating Solo Success and Upcoming Tour Demands

The timing of Power Snatch’s latest drop underscores a prolific period for Williams, who spent much of the past year balancing solo artistic ventures with her broader musical identity. Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party earned critical praise across the industry, cementing her ability to command attention in stripped-back, alternative spaces. Her recent touring schedule has included notable milestones, such as a three-night residency at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium in April, where she was joined on stage by Noah Kahan to perform “Downfall.”

With her solo Bachelorette Party tour concluding in June, Williams is wasting little time before returning to the road. The singer is set to launch a new, extensive North and Latin American trek titled The Hayley Williams Show. Kicking off on Sept. 3 in West Palm Beach, Florida, the tour runs through Nov. 27, culminating in a final performance in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Support for the North American leg will be handled by Magdalena Bay and Rico Nasty, while Annie DiRusso will join the lineup for the Latin American dates.
