He is stuck for Christmas when he has to recharge his Tesla

Christmas day is synonymous with family, gifts, meals… But not for this Tesla driver, in the middle of a nightmare with his charging

44-year-old radio presenter from Virginia (United States), Domenick Nati certainly insulted his Tesla Model S for long moments on the day of Noël. Indeed, his vehicle simply refused to recharge because of the cold and he had to cancel all his plans. It must be said that it fell on the worst possible day for this poor American.

His Tesla no longer responds

As he plugged his electric car into a Supercharger station, his battery indicated that he had 40% left. But his vehicle was not charging. Worse still, the percentage of its drums decreases as the outside temperature drops.

Since the United States is currently experiencing a severe cold snap, the technology is encountering some problems. This is the case of that of the Tesla at the Supercharger terminals. Back home, he was also unable to recharge his car at home.

A Christmas nightmare

He then returns to another terminal but his car does not connect properly. The range of his car even reaches 30 km. He can’t make the return trip! He then opts for a taxi to return home. He then had to cancel the event he had originally planned… To his great despair!

No doubt he will remember this for a long time. Christmas.

Domenick is pissed at Tesla because he couldn’t reach the brand’s customer serviceElon Musk. However, the vehicles are equipped with many features that make it possible to withstand extreme heat temperatures. There is also the possibility of preheating the battery before recharging. In the Nordic countries, which want to go all-electric, they are very popular.

This technological error is therefore surprising and we understand that Domenick is asking Tesla for an explanation. Let’s hope that his New Year’s Eve of the 31st will be warm in order to forget this Noël alone.
