The sub-committee emanating from the joint parliamentary committees held a session at twelve thirty in the afternoon today, chaired by Representative Ayoub Hamid and in the presence of Representatives: Ihab Hamadeh, Jimmy Jabbour, Fadi Karam, and Rami Abu Hamdan.
The Director of Rural Development and Natural Resources, Dr. Shadi Muhanna, the Head of the Agricultural Research Department at the Ministry of Agriculture, Eng. Ibrahim Hawi, and the Head of the Legal Studies Department at the Ministry of Economy, Marilyn Nehme, also attended.
The committee examined my two legal proposals regulating the trade in seeds, seedlings, propagation materials, water fishing and aquaculture in Lebanon.
The committee listened to the views of those present on the proposed law related to aquatic fishing and aquaculture in Lebanon. After that, I moved on to study materials. It was agreed to complete the research in the next session.
