Ministry confirmed the health And the population that the polio vaccine is important and necessary, stressing that there are several contraindications to obtaining the vaccine, including the following:
1- Children with primary immunodeficiency disease, which is determined by a specialist pediatrician
2- Patients with blood cancers such as leukemia and lymphoma
3- Patients receiving immunosuppressive drugs such as chemotherapy
4- Postpone vaccination in case of severe fatigue and high temperature
Giza Governorate had announced the organization of a new vaccination campaign against polio in all local units and mobile teams in the governorate, as part of the plan of the Ministry of Health and Population, to keep Egypt free of polio, and to achieve sustainable development and Egypt’s Vision 2030.
She pointed out that the limited campaign will start its work next Sunday, October 9, 2022, and will last for 5 days until Wednesday, October 13, and it targets children from one day to five years old.
