Health: The possibility of changing the location of receiving the booster dose by calling the hotline

Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Acting Minister of Health and Population, held his regular meeting yesterday evening with the assistants of the Minister of Health, agents and directors of health directorates in the governorates of the Republic.

This comes to follow up on the progress of work in the system of vaccinating citizens with anti-Coronavirus vaccines, and to ensure the availability of various types of vaccines in all governorates of the Republic, within the framework of ensuring the public health of citizens and preserving the state’s gains in addressing the pandemic.

During the meeting, the Minister was briefed on the periodic reports on the progress of the vaccination process for targeted citizens of all age groups, as well as follow-up of the frequency rates on the fixed and mobile vaccination centers distributed throughout the governorates of the Republic, stressing the continuation of periodic traffic to the centers receiving vaccines, to follow up the progress of work and ensure that Availability of vaccines of all kinds.

During the meeting, the minister directed that workers in the tourism sector be vaccinated with stimulating anti-Coronavirus doses during the coming period, and also followed up on the rates and speed of arrival of text messages to citizens for receiving doses (first, second, and stimulatory) of coronavirus vaccines.

Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, stated that the ministry made it possible for citizens who are entitled to booster dose The possibility of changing the place of their receipt of the vaccine, by calling the hotline “105” and requesting the change, confirming that the booster doses are available to all age groups targeted for vaccination.

Abdul Ghaffar pointed to coordination with the Ministry of Education, to vaccinate the rest of the targeted students in schools as soon as they attend school during the second semester, after obtaining informed consents from the students’ parents, pointing out that the vaccination of these students takes place inside schools through mobile medical teams.

He pointed out that the governorates (Beheira, Gharbia, Giza) had the highest rates of vaccination for children from 12 to 18 years old, noting the minister’s follow-up to the progress of work in the system of supplying governorates with anti-Coronavirus vaccines, whether vaccines intended for school students, or for citizens older than 18 general.

He stressed the continuation of providing awareness to citizens through the trained medical teams in the vaccination centers and community communication teams deployed in the governorates, and the provision of the immediate registration service to receive the Corona virus vaccine through the vaccination centers in the governorates, pointing to the shortening of the registration steps on the website for receiving vaccines, in order to facilitate the citizens.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Mohamed Hassani, Assistant Minister of Health and Population for Public Health Initiatives Affairs, Dr. Mostafa Ghanima, Assistant Minister of Health for Therapeutic Medicine Affairs, Dr. Amr Kandil, Head of the Preventive Medicine Sector at the Ministry of Health, Dr. Hazem El-Fil, Head of the Curative Medicine Sector, and Dr. Wael Abdel Razek, Head of the Health Care and Nursing Sector, Eng. Aysam Salah, Minister’s Adviser for Information Technology, and Dr. Mohamed Abdel Wahab, Head of the Health Minister’s Office Sector, in addition to participating in the “video conference” for the undersecretaries of the Ministry of Health and Population in the governorates, and directors of the directorates.
