For makeup, the Good Liar star looked radiant in a light makeup look featuring rosy pink blush and a bright pink lip.

The Fast And Furious actress added a touch of sparkle to her look with a pair of statement silver earrings.

For her latest project, Mirren signed on to play in a superhero movie for the first time in her decades-spanning career.

The Queen vet joined the star-studded cast, starring Zachary Levi and Lucy Liu, to play an immortal goddess in Shazam! Fury Of The Gods – a sequel to the 2019 DC film.

In an interview with The New York TimesMirren spoke with Liu and revealed what drew her to participate in a superhero film for the very first time.

‘We’re above the superheroes,’ she said. ‘I don’t go see a lot of superhero films, quite honestly, but I had seen the first Shazam and been utterly charmed.’

Mirren continued: ‘So when Shazam 2 came along, I thought, “Well, if I was going to do a superhero-type movie, that is the one I’d like to be involved in,” because of the wit.’

She goes on to talk about her costume for the role of an antagonist and diety.

‘I now have a lot of sympathy and respect for any man playing a gladiator because they are carrying one hell of a load on their shoulders, as I found out,’ she said.

‘The costumes are heavier than they look,’ Mirren recalled. ‘And we were wobbling around on enormous platform shoes.’

She added: ‘Gladiators never had to contend with huge, great high heels.’

‘With me it’s all about the look,’ she said, noting it was worth it. ‘If it looks good, I’m going to suffer it. Also it covered up my bum.’

Mirren also spoke about how playing a goddess is different than playing other types of antagonists like she had in the past.

‘It’s a different psychology because you don’t have to deal with normal human psychology – which is great,’ she said. ‘We didn’t have to consider, “Why is this villain doing this? Was she abandoned by her mother at a young age?”

‘My stand-in did some of a scene when we walk through a marketplace,’ she continued. ‘And I was telling her how to do it like a goddess: “You have to walk as if you’re walking through honey or cream or butter or whatever. You have to absolutely own the space.”

Shazam! Fury Of The Gods is slated to release in theaters on March 17.
