Here is against all odds the ideal time to go to sleep according to Science

We have been told over and over again that the most life-saving sleep for our brain and our body takes place between 9 p.m. and midnight. Not wrong but not completely accurate either! According to a brand new study conducted by the European Society of Cardiology, falling asleep between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. would be the ideal time for a restorative sleep. We forget it too much but after midnight, we may sleep the recommended 8 hours, our mental capacities are not totally productive the next day and can prove to be much more serious in the years to come with possible metabolic, cardiovascular and cognitive problems. . Basically, sleepless nights are avoided and evenings until the end of the night are tempered!

A schedule that says a lot about our emotional state

If we don’t rest our brain from 10 p.m. or 11 p.m. at the very most, our emotional reactions can be tainted and increase tenfold in the good as in the bad sense. More aggressiveness, less hindsight and patience, more stress… sleeping much too late is a major problem that interferes with the management of our emotions!

Helped by the UK Biobank, researchers tested some 90,000 volunteers aged between 37 and 73 for a week with a wrist-mounted device that recorded the person’s physical activity.

They found that falling asleep between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. was beneficial in reducing heart disease problems as much as possible. And they also came to the following conclusion: falling asleep after midnight carries an almost one-quarter higher risk of having heart-related diseases or in the brain…

In the end, it’s all a matter of habit. We all tell ourselves that we are absolutely not tired between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. and that falling asleep is quite simply a miracle. It is enough to move away from the screens gradually and from the bright light which agitates our brain, to refocus on oneself. So, shall we try?
