ACTING (Acting) Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono said Jakarta would be easier to improve when government activities moved to the Archipelago Capital (IKN). Because, there will be many buildings that are no longer in use and can be used for the development of Jakarta.
“After the government moves completely to IKN, there will be many idle assets from ex-government buildings in Jakarta that can be utilized,” said Heru in a written statement, Friday (26/4).
Heru gave an example of one program that could be developed. Such as transit-oriented area development or TOD.
The Head of the Presidential Secretariat (Kasetpres) is of the view that developing the TOD area needs to be carried out because Jakarta will become a global city. So infrastructure supporting public transportation is important.
“Development in terms of infrastructure, transportation and urban development is being carried out to prepare Jakarta as a global city and economic center after moving the capital city to the capital of the archipelago,” concluded Heru. (Z-1)
