A young 18-year-old driving cowboy who was probably driving at high speed on Highway 15 at the start of rush hour in Montreal, glided several meters before crashing his car into trees on Friday afternoon. The result: three seriously injured.

The spectacular accident occurred a little before 3 p.m., when the young motorist who was traveling on highway 15 south was taking the exit leading to rue de Salaberry.

He apparently negotiated the curve poorly and then hit a small hill which propelled the car into the air.

The small black Acura glided several meters, before crashing heavily into a wooded area on a residential street bordering the highway.

The car hit a tree and ended up on its roof.

Firefighters needed extrication pliers to free the occupants of the vehicle.

“There was one that was split in the face and it was full of blood. It wasn’t really a pretty sight,” said a neighbor, who quickly arrived at the scene of the accident.

Witnesses reportedly said that in the moments preceding the spectacular exit from the road, the driver of the Acura was “zigzagging” between cars and driving at high speed.

However, the SPVM, which is in charge of the case, mentioned that no criminal charges should be brought in this matter.

The three occupants of the car, three 18-year-old men, suffered serious injuries during the impact. According to Urgences-santé, one of them is in critical condition in hospital.
