Released on Steam Hitman 3. The PC version was exclusive to the Epic Games Store for a year. Gamers were dissatisfied with the cost of the title – the price for it after the release on Steam almost doubled.
The standard edition of Hitman 3 on Steam can be purchased for ₽2,698, and the Deluxe edition will cost ₽3,999. On release in EGS, the title was sold at the price of a standard edition in Valve’s digital store. At the same time, at the time of publication of the material, Epic Games also increased the cost of Hitman 3 on its site.
Gamers criticized digital stores and the publisher for such a decision. The community believes that IO Interactive has deceived the expectations of players who prefer Steam and have been waiting for the release for a whole year. At the same time, all three parts of the Hitman series appeared in the Game Pass catalog, both on PC and on Xbox consoles.
Players noted that all Hitman 3 content will cost ₽8,436 – add-ons cost ₽240 each. DLC is not included in the announced editions.
Hitman 3 was released in January 2021. The game was released on PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X/S. In July 2021, developers added in stealth action support for the Russian language.
