THE MINISTRY OF TRANSPORTATION said the homecoming flow on Wednesday, April 10 2024 began to slow down. He stated that currently the community has started to enter the reverse flow.

“It is estimated that today, Thursday, April 11 2024, we will start to enter the reverse flow,” said Ministry of Transportation spokesperson Adita Irawati in a written statement, Thursday (11/4).

Adita said there were 508,877 travelers who used public transportation. The data was collected until the first day of Eid or Wednesday, April 10 2024.

“Road transport users are 109,818 people or an increase of 18.75% compared to last year with 92,477 passengers. This figure is also an increase of 1.47 percent compared to normal daily movements,” he said.

Adita said 25,666 people used crossing transportation. This number decreased by 85.07 percent compared to last year with 171,876.

“However, it increased by 3.57 percent compared to normal daily movements,” he explained.

Next, there are 175,906 air transport users. This figure increased 3.23 percent compared to last year with 170,402 passengers. This number also increased by 6.42 percent compared to normal daily movements.

“Sea transportation had 46,117 passengers or an increase of 20.76 percent compared to last year with 38,188 passengers. But this figure is down 32.81 percent compared to normal daily movements,” explained Adita.

Finally, there were 151,370 people who used the train. That figure is up 11.76 percent compared to 2023. This number is also up 36.54 percent compared to normal daily movements. (Z-8)
