Religious institutions in Libya have been affected by the state of division that the country has been suffering from during the recent period, which caused a state of polarization in all institutions, which negatively affected the work of the institutions, perhaps the most prominent of which is the Libyan Dar Al Iftaa, as the Supreme Committee for Ifta of the General Authority for Endowments and Affairs announced Islamic State, this evening, Thursday, announced that tomorrow, Friday, will be the first day of Eid Al-Fitr.

And the General Authority for Endowments and Islamic Affairs confirmed in a statement that, “The Crescent Finding Committee of the Supreme Committee for Iftaa reported that the crescent was sighted tonight, and therefore tomorrow, Friday, is the day of Eid al-Fitr, the first day of the month of Shawwal for this year, forty-four, four hundred and one thousand Hijri.”

The Supreme Committee for Ifta at the General Authority for Endowments and Islamic Affairs congratulated all Libyans on the holiday, wishing that security and prosperity would prevail in Libya.

In the same context, the Libyan Dar Al Iftaa affiliated with the Government of National Unity announced that the mandate will end next Saturday, the first day of Eid Al-Fitr, without clarifying the evidence on which Dar Al Iftaa relied to announce the crescent of the month of Shawwal.
