Nadal drew attention after his victory yesterday in the Australian Open, when he appeared in the press conference wearing a luxury watch valued at about one million euros.
The newspaper “AS” reported (ASSpanish that Nadal remained true to his habits after winning every major title, as he is keen to appear with a new high-end watch, and yesterday chose a limited edition of the Richard Mille watches, of which the company produced only 50 copies.
Yesterday, the Spanish tennis player secured about 2.7 million euros, after his victory in the final of the Australian Championships over Russian Daniel Medvedev, according to the newspaper “Marca” (MARK) Spanish.
The newspaper pointed out that Nadal has earned more than 115 million euros in tournament prizes since the beginning of his tennis career in 2001.
Forbes magazine reported (Forbes) That Nadal collected during 2021 about 24 million euros thanks to the awards he received, in addition to sponsorship and marketing contracts.
Nadal is ranked fifth in the list of the highest-earning tennis players, away from his Swiss rival Roger Federer, who tops the list after receiving incomes of more than 80 million euros last year.
