A man in China was rescued two days after flying 320 km while picking pine nuts while hanging from a hydrogen hot air balloon.

According to foreign media such as CCTV in China on the 9th, on the 4th, a man in his 40s and a colleague were collecting pine nuts on a hydrogen hot air balloon in a forest park in Heilongjiang Province, China. During the work, the rope that tied the hot air balloon was suddenly loosened, and Mr. A began to blow away in the wind with the hot air balloon. A colleague I was working with immediately jumped to the ground and suffered only minor abrasions.

Mr. A, who was left alone in the hot air balloon, luckily had a cell phone and was able to call the police and inform the location. Police ordered him to slowly deflate the balloon’s balloon so he could land safely. The point where the hot air balloon landed was 320 km from the pine-picking site, close to the Russian border.

More than 500 rescuers were put in to rescue Mr. A, and it took another day for him to be rescued. In the end, A was rescued on the evening of the 6th, two days after the accident.

A fell into the forest at the time of landing and suffered a back injury, but it is said that there is no life-threatening injury. It is known that Mr. A was standing the entire time he was floating in the air.

Person A said, “Thank you to everyone who worked hard for the rescue.” He said, “I wanted to give up for a while because I was cold, hungry, and thirsty while it rained for two nights floating in the sky aimlessly.”

Meanwhile, experts advised, “Recently, in China, a lot of pine nuts are picked using hot air balloons. If you fly while working, you can pull the string to release hydrogen and fall slowly.”
