In macOS Ventura 13, Apple took the opportunity to launch a very cool function — aimed at those who have both a Mac and an iPhone; it is about Continuity Camera (Continuity Camera). With it, you can use your smartphone’s advanced set of cameras as your computer’s webcam.

It turns out that, in addition to the camera, you can also use the iPhone microphone as input on your Mac, also through the operating systems continuity function.

And that’s exactly what we’ll show you how to do next! ????️

First of all, make sure that your iPhone and Mac are properly updated to the versions compatible with the systems, that is, at least with macOS Ventura 13 and iOS 16. They also need to be logged in to the same Apple ID.

Once done, go to your Mac and open System Settings. Then choose “Sound” in the left sidebar. In the “Output and Input” section, click on “Input” and choose your iPhone’s microphone; you will see that, on the right, it informs under “Type” that it is the Continuity Camera feature.

On your smartphone, a warning will show that your microphone is in use. There, if you want, you can pause or disconnect it.

Pretty cool, don’t you think?! ????
