Anatolia Agency quotes Yahya Abu Riyala as saying: “Today, I got 5 kilos of flour, and I will use it to feed my four children who have not eaten white bread for 40 days.” He adds: “I am happy that my children will eat white flour, after relying on animal food.” The Palestinian Abu Riyala is living in difficult humanitarian conditions as a result of his displacement from the eastern regions of the town of Beit Lahia to the Jabalia camp after his house was bombed.
In turn, Palestinian Mazen Al-Jarousha (55 years old) expressed his happiness at obtaining 5 kilograms of white flour 30 days after it ran out in his home. He said: “I went 30 days without eating white flour. We used to eat animal food.” He pointed out that as soon as he heard in the morning hours about the arrival of aid, he immediately went to get it, and indeed he succeeded in doing so despite the presence of thousands of other Palestinians who went to receive it.

While the Palestinian Umm Muhammad Muftah (40 years old) was not lucky in obtaining flour because the quantities in the stores ran out after distributing it to the residents. She said: “We heard the news of the arrival of aid and went to get something, but we could not get anything.” Muftah hopes to obtain flour to feed her family, after its stock ran out more than two months ago.
Since the end of last November, no humanitarian aid has reached the towns of the northern Gaza Strip, which led to a “famine” in the northern regions, claiming the lives of children and the elderly.
